Osci Lab: the ready-to-wear and leather goods brand debuts with Mario Dice's design
The label wants to celebrate the new direction of the Avellino society. In fact, Balma was born in a production district famous for leather processing (the industrial center of Solofra, defined as "The City of Leather"), specialized in the tanning of sheep and goat skins for clothing, footwear and leather goods. The new generation that entered the company wanted to convey, with this entry into ready-to-wear, a tangible evolution in a more contemporary direction of Balma, using the wisdom of "know-how" and adapting it to a modern style, explains a press release.
Balma set up the company precisely for the launch of the new brand, he told Fashion Network, adding that with Osci Lab he aims to achieve diffusion in Eastern European countries, including Russia, but also in the Far East, up to Arab countries, thanks to a brand new commercial network of distributors.
Mario Dice founded his eponymous brand in 2007, after entering the world of fashion at a very young age. He was only 14 years old when Calvin Klein 's production manager saw his work and offered him to work in New York. In the Big Apple, Mario Dice will remain there for six years, working first at Calvin Klein and then at Donna Karan.
